One challenge we faced was demonstrating the full functionality of the app during the review process. Since NoteArch is an enterprise system where each institution has its own private database, we couldn't provide access to real customer data. Instead, we created a dedicated demo environment with realistic but fictional data that allowed reviewers to experience every feature of the app. This approach protected our customers' privacy while giving Apple's team the complete picture they needed.
We also refined our location permission usage. Initially, we had background location access, but we realized that staff attendance verification only needed location access during active check-in and check-out moments. This change improved user privacy while maintaining the fraud prevention capabilities that institutions rely on.
